In April 2017 the London Borough of Sutton and the Royal Borough of Kingston launched an exciting new Shared Finance Service. We have recently changed our structure to reflect new demands on our team, and that has generated a number of new and exciting opportunities for creative ambitious people to join our team.

 

Our ambition is to ‘Add Value, Inspire Success’. We are seeking individuals with the ambition, drive, and capabilities to help us realise this ambition. We are looking for senior leaders who can inspire their colleagues, positively promote and represent the finance service, drive digital innovation across the finance service and work collaboratively with stakeholders to drive further improvements.

We have a number of roles available for you to join our Shared Finance Service which are listed below are that all permanent, full time positions and employees are expected to travel between both our Sutton and Kingston offices. 

Head of Commercial Finance & Investments

Salary: £65,367- £78,468 per annum (£82,391 unconsolidated maximum achievable through performance related progression)

You will play a key role in supporting a number of exciting projects in both Kingston and Sutton from the London Cancer Hub and the regeneration of Kingston's largest Council Estate to providing new high quality greener homes as part of a joint venture partnership. Head of Pensions Investments
Salary: £65,367 - £78,468 per annum (£82,391 unconsolidated maximum achievable through performance related progression)
You will lead the pension fund management function for two London Pension Funds, ensuring appropriate and ethical investment strategies are in place and that both funds are compliant with relevant statutory guidance and regulation. To find out more and to apply click here.

Financial Reporting and Control Manager
Salary - £48,492 - £56,682 per annum  (£58,779 unconsolidated maximum achievable through performance related progression) 

As one of two Financial Reporting & Control Managers, you will lead and manage the annual closing process, in year financial reporting to senior officers, and the systems and control functions. To find out more and to apply click here.

Capital and Commercial Manager
Salary: £48,492 - £56,682 per annum (£58,779 unconsolidated maximum achievable through performance related progression)

As one of two Capital and Commercial Managers, you will lead the development of commercial acumen across both councils and support capital and commercial project managers to deliver robust financial management. To find out more and to apply click here.

Strategic Finance Business Partner
Salary: £48,492 - £57,735 per annum (£58,779  unconsolidated maximum achievable through performance related progression)

This role provides direct support to the Head of Financial Planning & Business Partnering and provides strategic financial support to the front line service areas of the Councils as well to the Council's decision makers. To find out more and to apply click here.

Rent Arrears and Recovery Officer
Salary: £27,228 - £29,766 per annum (£30,711 unconsolidated maximum achievable through performance related progression)

You will be responsible for maximisation of income collection and arrears reduction on a patch of up to 1000 residential council properties. To find out more and to apply click here.

Rent, Service Charge Billing and Recovery Senior Officer
Salary: £29,766 - £37,842 per annum (performance-related progression)

This is a busy and exciting role working in a team responsible for the maintenance of approximately 4,750 rent accounts and approximately 1,450 leaseholders’ accounts. To find out more and to apply click here.

Rent, Service Charge Billing and Recovery Officer
Salary - £24,903 - £28,215 per annum

You will liaise directly with tenants, leaseholders and key stakeholders (e.g. colleagues in Housing Services) and undertake appropriate action to keep rent accounts and leasehold service charge accounts up to date. To find out more and to apply click here.
